Minor Illusion
Minor Illusion
Cantrip - Illusion
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 30 feet
Components: S, M (a bit of wool)
Duration: 1 minute
The caster creates a sound or an image of an object within range for one minute. This illusion also ends if dismissed as an action or if the spell is cast again.
If the illusion is a sound, the volume can range from a whisper to a scream. It can be your voice, someone else's voice, the roar of a lion, the roll of drums, or any other sound you choose. The sound can either maintain its intensity throughout the spell's duration or be subtle and occur at different moments within that time frame.
If the illusion is an image or an object (like a chair, muddy footprints, or a small chest), it cannot be larger than a cube of 5 feet on each side. This image cannot produce sound, light, smell, or any other sensory effect. Physical interaction with the image reveals it as an illusion, as it can be passed through by anything.
If a creature uses an action to examine the sound or image, it can determine that it is an illusion with an Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC. If a creature discerns the illusion for what it is, the illusion fades for that creature.
